Success Training Bible Study - Genesis Chapter 9

Human Dignity

a success training Bible study of Genesis chapter 9

There were explicit similarities between the first creation and Adam and Eve and the New Creation with Noah and his family. However there is one grave difference. Sin had already established its presence in the heart and nature of mankind. Even though man again had been given dominion over all that existed, there had to be ground rules to abate the uncontrolled sin nature of man.

The dignity and the sanctity of human life had to be protected. God knew that, now, man could not be left without laws. We are aware that sin unfettered is lawlessness. Human dignity had to be protected. In this success training Bible study we need to stress the protection of human dignity. As you continue, you'll understand the importance of this principle.

We, as God's own people, once again had been given the right and privilege to everything created. Our station as masters of our world had been reinstated.

Just as in Noah's time, we have the right and the privilege to use ever resource that God has made available to us. We do not have to fear controlling our environment. We have to fear letting our environment control us. We can be 'in' the world but not controlled 'by' the world.

By our nature and propensity for self justification, we tend to display a sense of our own worth. We must realize that the presence of God in our lives is our only claim to worthiness. Without Christ in our lives, we are worthy of nothing but death.

Mankind, by his dismissal of the doctrine of being a 'special creation' and by diluting the concept of a divinely imparted 'special commission' and by totally and irreverently dismissing the "special covenant' with God, has moved us into dangerous territory. We are basically in the same 'lifestyle' as were the contemporaries of Noah. Life has become a cheap commodity, of little value. Millions in the last century lost their lives in acts of violence. Hundreds of thousands of unborn children are murdered before they are allowed to be born.

Remember Jesus' words when He warned that when we find ourselves as those in the day Noah, that His return would be imminent. Man's inhumanity toward man is driving more and more of God's people with a desire to help those who have been downtrodden. You as a Christian believer must follow God's direction to wealth in order to help those who have not. You can use this success training Bible study to help guide you. If you give a man a fish, he will eat once. If you teach a man to fish, he can feed himself.
