Success Training Bible Study - Intro to Genesis Chapter 6

God's Principles

success training Bible study

This chapter deserves a close and meditative study. It is nearly impossible for mans mind to be able to conceive the scope of God’s character. There is so much about him that we shall not understand until we join Him in eternity.

We , in an effort to understand our relationship to God and His universe, must look at a few of God’s principles. The first major principle of God is the “principle of existence”. By God’s design and choice, we exist. Verses 6 and 7 tell us that He created all manner of thing and it is because of God that all things exist. We exist according to the nature that God intended for us. Creepy things creep, beasts sre beastly and man is according to his design. We all have basic characteristics which separate us from other living thing. Man has the desire to make thing, to create but man cannot create as God creates. No matter how much we think, study, learn and research, we cannot created something from nothing. God can. This brings to us the “principle of dependence”. Man, with all of his God given skills and talents is dependent on the raw materials that God gives us.

Man, no matter how much he tries to deny it, is totally dependent on the creative energies of God Almighty, the Sovereign Lord of all. This brings to light the “principle of obedience”. When we obey the mandates of God, we are provided the materials we need to create thins. When we are disobedient, we then are introduced to the “principle of consequence”. Man can no more disregard God’s law than he can disregard the natural laws of the universe with out consequence. Modern man tends to blame God for the “consequences” that he suffers when he disregards God’s law. It is not the fault of God that man has chosen to “do it his way”.

We need to reacquaint ourselves with God’s laws in this success training Bible study. We need to reassess and reevaluate our attitudes toward our Sovereign Lord. Until we realize that our very existence is determined by God , that we are totally dependent on God’s provision, that we must obey Him, We will continue to suffer the consequences of OUR actions.

We have to understand that the nature of God is to be loving, caring and protective. Also He is a God of Justice who has given us the ability to choose His way or our way. Because of His love for us, we also must suffer the consequences of our own actions. This is essential to implementing that which we are learning in this success training Bible study.
